Vote for Cecily Harris for Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District Director, Ward 7 on November 4, 2008!

I am proud of my past accomplishments and look forward to a new public service opportunity. I am pleased to be running in the General Election for Director of Ward 7, Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District.

For 25 years, I have volunteered and been employed by Bay Area nonprofit conservation organizations and local park departments. I have dedicated my life to parks and open spaces. This will always be my priority as a park professional.

I’m running for this important volunteer position because I believe that I can use my educational background and work experience to provide exceptional service to the Board and staff of the District as well as to you – the residents of Ward 7.

I want to work with you on issues such as protecting the environment and open space, increasing, where appropriate, the number of single and multiple-use trails, encouraging the acquisition of critical natural lands for wildlife corridors and species protection, environmental education and interpretive programs, and natural resource protection.

With your support, I will work on your behalf with the other Directors of the District to preserve and protect our important regional open spaces.
